You will now be guided through the custom CSV import process with our Import Wizard. For your convenience, we have summarised the three key steps below:
Step 1 - Open the Trial Balance Import Wizard
- Open the Trial Balance in your file and Select Import Trial Balance.

Select the Custom CSV import option.

Click on the Choose File button;

Browse through your local computer to find the saved trial balance;

Click on the trial balance to select it;

Click Open;

Click on the blue Upload button.
Step 2 - Specifying the Trial Balance columns

Select the header line of the trial balance;

Select the appropriate Account Code, Account, Debit, Credit columns and Quantity of the trial balance using the drop down menus;

Tick the appropriate import properties boxes;
Note: If Reset previously mapped values is ticked, codes & account descriptions will remain but all previous values including prior year data will be removed. However, if delete existing imported data is ticked it will remove everything including name, code, tickmarks, and comments.
- Click Next.
Step 3 - Trial Balance check

Ensure the Account #, Accounts, Debit and Credit columns are correctly specified to the trial balance being imported;

Ensure the debits and credits of the trial balance agree at the bottom of the screen;

Select the period being imported, being either interim or initial;
- Click Import.

Click OK to confirm the period being imported is correct;

Your trial balance has now been successfully imported into MyWorkpapers and is ready for mapping.
