To fully optimise the functionalities of the SMSF dashboard and enhance the efficiency of SMSF audit workflow management, it may be necessary to map any unique statuses within your custom templates.
For guidance on creating a template, refer to: Creating New Templates
Locating Your Custom Template
Navigate to the application Dashboard, then click the Dashboard drop-down arrow in the top navigation bar and select Manage Templates
You will then be taken to the Manage Templates Portal
Select the template in which you want to map the custom statuses and select 'Edit Statuses'
Creating Custom Statuses
Note: This step can be skipped if custom statuses have already been created within the template.
When the Edit Statuses pop-out window opens, you have two options:
1. Import Default SMSF Template Statuses: - Automatically import all predefined statuses from the default SMSF template.
2. Create Custom Statuses: – Manually create unique statuses for your firm by entering the desired status names and selecting Add.
Mapping Your Custom Template
After creating or importing custom statuses, select the status you wish to map and click the pencil icon on the right-hand side to edit.
Clicking the pencil icon opens a pop-out window where you can map the selected status. This window features a drop-down menu of default SMSF template statuses and two checkboxes to enable notification emails and automatic file assignment when the status is selected.
Choose the appropriate status from the mapping selection to link it to your custom status.
Statuses on the SMSF Dashboard
After creating a file using the newly created template, selecting the newly mapped status will ensure the file is reflected in the count within the relevant section of the SMSF dashboard.
