With the MyWorkpapers In-Text Referencing and Data Fields tool you are able to create a hyperlink reference to any workpaper in the Working Paper Index or automatically import key client data directly into the comments box.
The below explains how to create hyperlinked references and how to import key client data through the Data Fields.

Inserting Hyperlinked References
To insert a hyperlinked reference in a text area, simply:

Open the program, checklist, or other Working papers from inside the Working Paper Index;

Click on the Comments box area in which you want to add a hyperlinked reference to;

To insert the hyperlinked reference, either:

Click on the Workpapers (right side) button and select the appropriate workpaper you want to reference;
OR -
Manually type the hyperlink shortcode of {{WP:XXX}} with XXX being replaced by the workpaper reference number (e.g. {{WP: A21-1}};

Click out of the comments box area to view the hyperlinked reference;
To insert a hyperlinked reference to a procedure through edit mode, simply:
- Click on File and select Edit Mode;
- Click on the procedure or objectives box area in which you want to add a hyperlinked reference;

To insert the hyperlinked reference, either;
1. Click on the Workpapers (right side) button and select the appropriate workpaper you want to reference;
OR
2. Manually type the hyperlink short code of {{WP:XXX}} with XXX being replaced by the workpaper reference number (e.g. {{WP:A21-1}}; -
Click out of the procedure to view the hyperlinked reference;

In the File tab, select Close Edit Mode.
Inserting Data Fields
To insert a linked Data Field in a text area, simply:

Open the program, checklist, or other Working papers from inside the Working Paper Index;

Click on the Comments box area in which you want to add a linked Data Field;

Click on the Data Fields button and select the appropriate field you want to insert;
4. The short code will automatically be inserted for you;
5. Click out of the comments box area to view the linked Data Field.
To insert a Data Field through Edit Mode, simply:
- Open the program, checklist, or other Working papers and click on File and select Edit Mode;
- Click on the procedure or objectives box area in which you want to add a hyperlinked reference;

Click on the Data Fields (left side) button and select the appropriate field you want to insert;

The short code will automatically be inserted for you;
5. Click out of the comments box area to view the linked Data Field;
6. In the File tab, select Close Edit Mode.
What Data Fields Can be Linked?
The following provides you with an example of some of the supported client and firm details which can be added as linked Data Fields, including the shorthand code which you can manually type in if you wish.

Inserting External Website Hyperlinks
To insert a hyperlinked reference in a text area, simply:

Open the program, checklist, or other Working papers from inside the Working Paper Index;

Click on the Comments box area in which you want to add a hyperlinked reference to;
- Click on the External Link button;
- Insert the Text to Display and the Websites address;
- Select Insert;
- Click out of the comments box area to view the hyperlinked reference;
