Changing the sign-off date and one click sign-off

Changing the sign-off date of workpapers is a restricted feature and by default is restricted to users with the Partner role from the Permissions menu. For more information on editing the Permissions of user roles in your firm, please visit the Roles and Permissions topic in the help centre.

A user with the appropriate permissions is able to change the sign-off dates of any of the sign-off details, including the prepared by, reviewed by and completed options.

Through the edit sign-off feature users are able to change the sign-off date of any program, individual procedure or uploaded supporting document.

The method required to edit the sign-off date of each of these workpapers is described separately below.

Program, Checklist or Other Workpaper

To edit the sign-off details of workpapers:

  1. Open the workpaper which you want to edit;

  2. On the sign-off bar at the top of the screen, click on the date you want to edit;
    Note: You will need to untick the Completed sign-off in order to edit any of the other sign-off dates.

    Also note that, if you do not have permission to edit sign-off dates, you will not receive the underline link when you hover over a date.

  3. Select the amended date from the calendar dropdown provided;

   4. You have now successfully updated the sign-off date.

 

Individual Procedures

Each procedure in a program can be edited individually or in bulk (once initially signed off).

 

To update an individual procedure:

  1. Open the workpaper which you want to edit;

  2. Identify the procedure which you want edit and click on the date;

   3. Select the date from the pop up menu provided;

   4. You have now successfully updated the individual procedures sign-off date.

 

If you wish to update the sign off date of all procedures in a particular program:

  1. Ensure all procedures have been marked as complete;

  2. On the sign-off bar at the top of the screen, click on the date against the Prepared by sign-off;

    Note: You will need to untick the Completed sign-off in order to edit any of the other sign-off dates.

  3. Update the date from the date selector which appears;

   4. On the pop up accept to update all of the individual procedure sign-off dates;

   5. All of the procedures in the program will then automatically update with the new sign-off           details.

 

Uploaded Supporting Documents

  1. From the Working Paper Index, click on the name of the supporting document you wish to edit the sign-off dates of;

  2. On the supporting document screen, click on the date you want to edit from the sign-off bar;

    Note: You will need to untick the Completed sign-off in order to edit any of the other sign-off dates.

    Also note that, if you do not have permission to edit sign-off dates, you will not receive the underline link when you hover over a date

  3. Select the amended date from the calendar dropdown provided;

   4. You have now successfully updated the sign-off date of your supporting document.
