Updating the file name

Before continuing, it is important to note that you must have the Sign off, rename and delete files permission activated for your user role from the Roles and Permissions feature. If you do not have this permission activated then you will not be able to access the below feature.

If you want to rename ALL of the files for a particular client, then please visit the Updating the Client Name page which allows you to update the name of all files for a particular client in bulk.

To update the name of a single file, simply:

  1. Access the My Files menu;

  2. Search for the file you would like to rename;

  3. Select the desired file from the search results;

  4. On click on the cog icon to the right of the file name;

  5. Select Rename file;

  6. On the pop up menu, enter the new name of the file. Note: You can only rename a file once.

  7. Click Done;

  8. You have successfully renamed your file.
