There are several different types of sections that can be added to a new workpaper, providing you with a flexible set of 'building blocks' to choose from to customise your new workpaper. The types of sections able to be added have been summarised below for your convenience.
Guidance
This is an area where general guidance as to the purpose of the workpaper, or procedures to be completed can be inserted. Guidance areas are shown as a grey boxed area, with the guidance itself being shown in a dark grey format to indicate that it is guidance material.
Objectives
An area where you can add what the audit objectives of the workpaper are, as well as insert guidance to further explain the objectives if required.
Programs (Required and Optional)
This section type provides a numbered list of procedures, along with a completed check box, reference column, and comments box.
Programs Optional provides users with the option to mark the entire section as Applicable or Not Applicable when in view mode using the toggle button.
Programs Required does not provide users with the option to toggle the section as Applicable or Not Applicable.
Checklists (Required and Optional)
A section type that provides a numbered list of procedures, with users able to mark a response against each of the procedures as either Yes, No, or N/A, along with the inclusion of a reference column and a comments box.
Checklists Optional provide users with the option to mark the section as Applicable or Not Applicable when in view mode using the toggle button
Checklists Required does not provide users with the option to toggle the section as Applicable or Not Applicable.
Large Comments Box
This is a section type that provides a large comments box area for text to be inserted by the end-user, as well as the option to insert a custom sub-heading just above the text area.
Comment Box
This section type provides a numbered list of procedures, along with a large comments box for detailed comments.
2 Box
A section type that provides a numbered list of procedures, along with two comments boxes for detailed comments.
3 Box
A section type that provides a numbered list of procedures, along with three comments boxes for detailed comments.
1 Tick, 3 Box
A section type that provides a numbered list of procedures, a Yes, No, or N/A checkbox, along with three comments boxes for detailed comments.
Conclusion
A section type used to allow users to input their overall conclusion of the workpaper
Risk Assessment
A section type which provides a numbered list of procedures, users can mark a response against each of the procedures as either Yes, No, or N/A, users can assign a risk level as H, M, or L, along with the inclusion of a reference column and a comments box.
2 References
A section type which provides a numbered list of procedures, a box to provide a rule, a box to provide a reference to another procedure in the checklist, details of the staff member that completed the procedure, along with the inclusion of a reference column and a comments box.
