07/2021 - UK content release notes

We are pleased to issue the following updates to Mercia’s templates.

All Mercia audit manuals:

Following discussions, it has been decided that the K: Provisions, contingencies & commitments section will now show by default in all Audit manuals. As individual notes below also state, the previous A29 Journals page has been moved to A27 with summaries of adjusted and unadjusted misstatements moving to A27-1 and A27-2 respectively. This is to make space for the new A29 workpaper as well as bring the template more in line with the Mercia manual.

Mercia Exempt:

Mercia Exempt Limited Companies and Unincorporated have been updated to 2021.02.

Mercia LLP, Clubs, Charities and Pensions:

2 updates have been incorporated into this release, changes were made in April and May culminating in our new 2021.05 version. What's Changed documents can be downloaded below. This includes inclusion of Audit Data Analytics workpapers and updates to the Audit Manual to reflect the ICAEW 'Audit guide: how to report on irregularities, including fraud'. A29 workpaper added, so journal entries page has been moved from A29 to A27 with the summaries now as A27-1 and A27-2 respectively.

Mercia FCA:

Both DIF and MGI manuals have been updated to versions 2021.05.

Mercia International:

Manual has been updated to version 2021.04

Mercia Limited Company audit:

A previously missed update from February this year has been incorporated into the manual, we apologise this was previously missed and any inconvenience this has caused.
